Curtains
The style of curtain you choose should reflect the environment in which they hang. We have 3 different curtain styles for you to choose from:

For each of the above styles we offer curtains that are lined, lined and interlined or with blackout lining.
How To Measure for Curtains
The most accurate and easiest method of measuring your curtains is to fit your poles or tracks first. Your poles or tracks should extend beyond the width of your window frame by about 20/30cm on each side, allowing the curtains to be pulled right back. You should allow at least 15cm above the top of the window to block out as much light as possible. We advise that you use a steel tape measure to achieve an accurate measurement, as fabric tape measures tend to stretch.
It is important to consider the height of the header (above the curtain ring or track glider) and the finished length you desire. Please see below for the 3 types of lengths to consider.
Finished lengths
There are 3 basic curtain lengths:
X) Sill length – measure to 1cm above the sill
Y) Beneath Sill length – measure to 15cm below the sill
Z) Floor Length – measure to 2cm from the floor

Measuring Curtain Width
Take the measurements between the finials (decorative ends). Do not worry about returns, overlaps or curtain fullness as this is calculated on your behalf.
Measuring Curtain Length
Measure the header by taking the measurement from the eye of the curtain ring to where you want the top of the curtain to be. (For Pinch Pleat and Box Pleat curtains we recommend that you allow a header of between 2-5cm above the eyelet depending on the amount of poles and eyes you want to see.) To measure the final length of the curtain, take the measurement from the top of the header to your preferred length, X, Y or Z.
Once you have the correct length of your curtains 1 whole repeat of the fabric needs to be added to each drop + 10cm for the hem and 10cm for the header.

Roman Blind

How to Measure for Blinds
To accurately measure your window for blinds you must first decide the preferred fixing style. There are two methods of fixing your blind: Face or Recess.
Face Fixing
This covers not only the window/window recess but part of the surround. Face fixed blinds can be fixed to the wall, ceiling or outside the window frame. The blind will be made to the to the measurements you provide, the drop is normally to the window sill.

To measure for a face fixed blind decide the area you want the blind to cover (we recommend a minimum of 8cm over the actual window measurement). Measure both the height and width to the outer points.
Recess Fixing
This covers the window space only, and fits inside the window recess. This style of fitting may be used in addition to a curtain or other window dressing. Recess fixed blinds sit inside the recess frame of your window, the drop is normally to the window sill.

To measure for a recess fixed blind, measure the height and width of the recess. You should measure the height and width in a few different places, to ensure that there are no discrepancies. If there are variations in height or width take the smallest measurement. Remember to allow 5mm for sill clearance. For roman blinds you should allow 5mm each side of the width for clearance.
